The center of scientific activity is already tired of the old alley and the collapsing fountain in the forecourt. It was necessary to do something!
In 2017, the authorities of the science city of Michurinsk decided to equip the station square. Its main accents were: the fountain "Michurinsky apple" and a monument to Ivan Michurin. He is sitting on a bench with a cane in his hands.
The creative team of our company painstakingly worked out both the visual and technical details of the fountain. The project was unique in its kind.
The diameter of the fountain bowl is 8 meters; it seems to be floating in the air. On the edge of the bowl, on pedestals, in the form of bronze scrolls, 3 main documents of the science city are located. This is a decree of 1635 on the foundation of the Kozlov fortress, a document on the renaming of «Kozlov» city to «Michurinsk» city, and a decree of President Vladimir Putin from 2003 on assigning the status of a science city. In the center of the fountain is a five-ton granite apple. This is an apple with a diameter of 1.2 to 1.2 meters, and on top is a bronze leaf.
The grand opening of the Michurinsky Apple fountain took place in November 2017. This event was accompanied by performances by local dance and folk groups.
